During the exhibition of Audobon's Birds of America at the National Museum of Scotland, an interactive activity was created to engage children. They were given a "birdspotting" worksheet, which was used to find 6 large illustrated birds around the Grand Gallery of the museum. As part of the worksheet, children were asked to find a new species of bird, to name it, imagine its call and where it might live, and to draw its home.
In addition to the bird illustrations and the worksheet, a Teacher's Notes resource was created for the Audobon exhibition, and a case study of my work as an illustrator, both of which were available as online resources.
